Claude

SmartSuite is in Claude's connector directory, so there's nothing to install. The connector works in Claude on the web, the desktop app and mobile.

Using the SmartSuite connector​

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.

  2. Search for SmartSuite, select it, and click to connect.

  3. Sign in to SmartSuite. Single sign-on and two-factor authentication apply if your organization uses them. Two-factor authentication must already be set up in SmartSuite, and five incorrect codes end the sign-in.

  4. Choose the connection's scope:

    • Which Workspaces Claude may use.
    • Read-only or read and write access.

    Read-only and specific Workspaces are the defaults. Workspaces whose MCP Access is Disabled don't appear.

  5. Confirm. There are no keys to manage.

On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner may need to make the SmartSuite connector available to your organization before Members can connect it.

Changing or removing the connection​

Review, change or remove the connection from the same Connectors screen in Claude. To change which Workspaces it covers or whether it can make changes, disconnect SmartSuite and connect again.

Adding SmartSuite as a custom connector​

If your organization adds connectors by URL instead of from the directory, add a custom connector with this URL and leave the OAuth settings empty:

Claude registers itself with SmartSuite automatically and then signs you in as above.

IP restrictions

Claude connects to SmartSuite from Anthropic's servers, not from your computer. If your Workspace has IP restrictions turned on, Claude's requests are refused unless their addresses are allowed. See Controls.
